I am working to create a custom buffer weight kit specifically for the Maxim CQB brace and stock. As you may know, they use a proprietary buffer weight that is shorter and wider than a milspec unit. If your particular setup is in need of a buffer weight outside of the stock 3.3oz version, you would be required to purchase a whole new buffer and spring from Maxim at up to $100 for each weight.
I hope to have kits made offshore to allow people to make their own weights for the CQB stock for a fraction of what Maxim would charge.
I have in so far learned the sizes of both the standard and H1 variant of weights. However, I need additional data of the length of the H2 and H3 buffer weights.
If anyone here has the H2, H3, and PCC buffers for their CQB brace/stock, it would be a great help to know the length of the weights inside.
Data so far...
Milspec buffer weight diameter: 0.55in
Maxim buffer weight Diameter: 0.625in (5/8in)
CQB weights diameter: 0.625in (5/8in)
CQB weights overall length: 24mm (23.75mm on the H1)
CQB rubber pad: 1.6mm
CQB H1 tungsten weight length: 8.6mm (0.34in)
CQB H1 steel weight length: 13.5mm (0.532in)
